GRITS: Greater IPAC Technology Symposium

GRITS XI

October 12-15, 2021

On each day, there will be ~2 hours of talks on Zoom starting at 10 AM PDT.

Agenda

Deadline for titles: September 7, 2021

GRITS is an 8 hour Technology Symposium giving IPACers the chance to share information about what we are currently doing to support our projects, and learn how outside organizations are tackling the engineering challenges of supporting cutting-edge science missions. If you are a developer, an engineer, a technologist, a user -- an IPACer -- this symposium is for you.

This year, we are soliciting Contributed Talks and Pop-Ups. Contributed Talks are informal 15 minute talks plus 5 minutes for questions. Pop-Ups are single-slide opportunities to describe interesting tools, elegant engineering solutions, or lessons learned.

Now we need your active participation! Please submit your talk titles to any of the LOC members (see below) or directly to grits@lists.ipac.caltech.edu. If you have a time preference (morning, afternoon, etc) for your talk, please send that along with your talk title.

We're interested in any and all topics related to the technology aspects of working at IPAC: software development, pipeline algorithms, project management, status updates on IPAC projects, system administration, cyber security, tips and tricks, outreach topics – basically any useful information you'd like to communicate to your fellow IPACers.
